Trinity

This is a hymn I wrote in response to hearing Nathan Fellingham talk about the writing process for the Trinity album during the UCCF Forum Conference. It is based around a doxology by Isaac Watts which forms the first and last verses.

To God the Father, God the Son,
And God the Spirit, Three in One,
Be honour, praise, and glory giv'n,
By all on earth and all in heav'n.

Father God, King and Lord of lords,
You made the earth with your own Word.
The heav'ns resound with Your glory,
And we are made in your image.

Jesus Christ, God who came to earth,
What myst'ry of the virgin birth.
You gave your life to cover sins,
And rose again that we might live.

Spirit, You fill our hearts with pow'r,
You help us know Him more and more.
Set us apart to fear our God
And speak the gospel through our lives.

To God the Father, God the Son,
And God the Spirit, Three in One,
Be honour, praise, and glory giv'n,
By all on earth and all in heav'n.
